Karma for your thoughts?

Karma...its been the topic of debate the past few days since its been implemented by the admins of the site.

I'm not gonna bother explaining what it is...theres a thread explaining it in the forum...go look it up yourself. heh.

Anyway. My thoughts on this particular topic are mixed. Although I can see potential in it, I am one of the cynical people who see more bad than good coming from it.

Good Points:
-You can see who the asshats are - if used properly that is.
-Get alot of good karma? you can be rewarded for your goodness. Get more bad karma, get repremanded for your actions. - if used properly.

Bad Points:
-Misgiven negative karma because of a difference of opinion, or as a joke. (which the admins see and can deal with. So its not so so bad.)
-Popularity points (Oh so and so made a post....more positive for them! YAY!) I dont wanna see this site get turned to a popularity contest. Its not     
  Myspace....popularity is what Myspace is for.
-Karma monglers (Dont forget to leave the good karma for this contribution!) I dont have a huge problem with it....but dont ask for it. Its like a waitress saying (Dont forget my tip asshole!) I'll leave karma if I think I need to. If not, I'll just say thanks.
-Groupies (Hey guys! Lets all give good karma to each other since we're such good friends!) More popularity.
 or (Hey guys lets pwn this douche because of.....) then this one person gets gang-banged karma style. Oh it could happen.

I dunno...I dont like being cynical, but its just how I see things. I blame the world. lol

Nah. It can go either way right now. Only time will tell whats gonna happen...all I ask is to be left alone. I wish to remain Karma free.

If I ever post something worthwhile or something that contributes to the site or to someones situation, dont give me karma, shoot me a PM that says "Thanks" or reply to the post itself with a thanks.
