Oh my god I am so bored.

I have work to do...and I've done it. But its so boring. Scan this image, throw it in a document, step it out to fit a sheet. Print. Rinse, Lather, repeat.

I want to go home so I can draw and get these ideas out of my head. I dont have any proper drawing utensils here except bic pens. Which suck for any kind of artistic endeavor except for doodling.

And excessive doodling kills my patience.

I think my big problem with artwork is that Im lazy. Im so used to the Photoshop (its done quick) mentality. I blame college for that. I learned so many tricks with Photoshop that made even painting quick. But I lack any kind of defined style or patience to take the time to develop a piece.

If any of the artists on this site read this...got any suggestions to help a fellow artist out?

I learned to draw from tracing out of comic books back in the day. Once I figured out how all of it fit together I began drawing my own stuff. Anime, Fantasy and comics are usually the things I like to draw.

I can sketch pretty well...but as far as producing a full-finished piece....can't do it to save my life. I'm 26 and Im seeing 24 year olds fresh out of college who are getting jobs doing concept work for major game companies. I see them producing artwork that blows my stuff clear into the trash bin.

Its very intimidating. And I feel like I have to catch up with them. And it seems like I will lose the race because I'm lightyears behind them. But art is what I want to do. I wish I hadn't of stopped for so long. I got so caught up in friends, games and web design that I lost focus for my real love. Art.

bah...its depressing. I drew all the time back in the day. But now looking back, I don't have one piece I would consider "finished" at all. Nothing I would want to put into a portfolio. Not a damn thing.

bah...bah I say.

Gatsu OUT!

P.S. If you wanna see any examples of my trash...ahem I mean work....I have a deviantart site.  http://darthwesker.deviantart.com
Let me know what you think about the stuff on there.
