Now go get on live and start pwning some noobs!
I'll be chainsawing you on Live!
EDIT/UPDATE: (DONT READ IF YOU HAVENT BEAT THE GAME YET!!!) SPOILERS!!!
----------------------------
Just beat the campaign. Whoever wrote the script for this thing needs to get a couple of slaps in the head. They didnt really reveal why you were on the train at all....just kinda...OK your on a train. Oh snap its for something important. OH SHIT! Its the final boss and the big bomb is on the train! Boom.... End......
Im a little dissapointed with the ending. Although the visuals were beautiful, it just kinda lacked. It definitely was like a blockbuster movie though...alot of flash. But the story lacked in the end.
I played the campaign hoping for something alot more than I got...perhaps I was expecting too much. And even though Halo 2's campaign was kinda short too...it let you know what was going on. Gears kinda just pulls you along but doesn't tell you too much until you're knee deep in the shit.
The parts you play are immersive and entertaining, but when the cut-scenes play out all together in the end the story is there...its just not revealed really well. Ok theres a bigger looking Locust guy who gets the ultra-cool slow-mo walk when he first appears. But hes not shown again until the end of the game. NO CLUE WHO HE IS! The only way you know his name is by reading the objective of the level....LAME!
HIGHLIGHTS:
---------------------------
First fight with the Berserker. INTENSE is not a strong enough word for this number.
2nd Berserker fight - Was kind of expecting it......but still intense as hell.
Driving the clunker around. I wish the level was longer or you got to drive it in different situations.
Theres alot more....I just have to play through more times to remember them all. lol.
DISSAPOINTMENTS:
--------------------------
Didnt get to fight the Brumak. Its only shown once...and you're running from it. I WANTED TO SO FIGHT THAT!
Too many of those smaller Kretches or whatever they are called....They are the only reason I used any shotgun ammo in the damn game.
Not keeping the gamer involved in alot of the story until you're allready involved in whats supposed to be going on.
Gatsu OUT!
