It's Friday! Ready for this weekend!

After a pretty quickly moving work week (that doesn't happen too often), it's Friday. Friday is my absolute favorite day of the week. Something about knowing there are 2 days ahead of you that you don't have to get up early and get to work is just awesome. And with all this crap weather and rain and storms (So glad most of our clannies in the South have checked in and they have made it through ok!), it's nice to see a weekend upcoming with nice weather for once! We have a ton of outdoor projects to get done before the heat rolls in, and usually for us it skips from Winter to Summer pretty quickly. This year, we could have had a few weeks of "Spring" to work out there, but the rain hasn't helped.

Tomorrow is another thing to look forward to of course. We are actually going out tomorrow night (gasp!) and we'll be seeing a Lewis Black show downtown. I'm stoked! He's definitely our #1 comedian. Well, my #1 was Mitch Hedberg, and we did go see him downtown years ago, but he's gone now. He bought everyone in the club a shot because he wanted to do a shot with everyone. It was nuts.

The only bad thing about going out is that I will be missing the UFC fight. I won't be able to watch live which SUCKS! I'll have to wait all the way til Sunday or Monday!! I've never been so stoked for a fight (or 2- Go Aldo!). A little background... I wasn't a UFC fan. I didn't watch it, that's all. The thought of guys beating the snot out of each other kind of scared me. I was afraid of seeing blood I guess or something. So fast forward to Sparfest 2010 (2old2playHALO Lan 2010). We were watching the prelims that Saturday night and slowly but surely I got sucked into it. Like a freaking DRUG. By the end of the night (and after we all pitched in for a $60 PPV), I was probably screaming the loudest and the most into it, begging to be able to see the prelims that caused all the blood on the mat! It was the first time I saw Cro Cop fight. Since that date, almost a year ago now, I have watched every UFC Unleashed episode there is, caught up on the last 3 seasons of TUF, watched every UFC Fight Night, etc. that Spike will allow, and have talked Jonny (who now watches most of them with me- score!) into buying 2 or 3 PPV events for home. (There was no getting around me not seeing GSP vs Koscheck. or the Anderson Silva vs Belfort fight) So I just apparently needed to write about how freaking excited I am to see these fights. I hope they won't disappoint!! I'm rooting for GSP (DUH!!), Aldo (because that guy is YOUNG and can kick some serious ass!), and Machida (Sorry, but to me Couture is the Favre of UFC and it's TIME, buddy, it's TIME). I would have liked to see Kyle Watson fight, but it's one of those free on Facebook fights and well, I won't be home!

Just wanted to be sure everyone started their Friday afternoon off properly. This parody is classic. Classic I tell you!
