Wow, talk about fun. This is by far the coolest tournament Ive ever been to. Its defintely an experience. First a few things you need to do if you ever plan on going to play.

1. Play on a 19 inch tv, with it split horizontally. It is really hard to adjust to that if you dont play like that way before the tournament begins. I mean at least a month before. You might not think its that big of a deal, but it really changes your map view.

2. Buy a surround sound headset, or play on mute. I use sound a lot to play, and at MLG its really hard to hear anything. So I felt disoriented playing because I could never hear where anything was coming from. Also, youre station is right next to another one..... so while playing CTF I hear the flag taken sound thinking it was ours, and then get killed due to turning my back.

3. All I can say is practice practice practice is you want to stand a chance. The FFAs are mad crazy and intense. I learned a few things though watching the pros. They never try to get in a h2h battle. Theyre always looking for kills to pick off. They never chase. If they have one shot on a guy and he goes and hides, they will not go after him. They will move on a find a new target. Grenades......... you better know how to throw good ones lol. There are a lot of grenades and throws being used in the FFA.

4. The kids. Honestly, they were cool. I very rarely heard any trash talk. Every game we played we would say good game, and theyd return with the same no matter what the outcome was. There really are some mature kids out there that are pretty cool. I think the only ones I had a problem with was a team that called themselves "raped and reloaded." I just found that team name to be offensive, and they were matched up against Girls Got Game in the first round of the 4v4.

5. The pros. The ones I saw and actually talked to were pretty cool. We talked to Foulacy for about 10 minutes after we watched him destroy Malices group in the 2nd round of the FFA. He went 50-17 in that round if anyone is wondering lol. Caliguia lucked out and managed to share a TV with T Squared. I know Cali was having some problems getting his stuff setup, and T2 took the time to help him out. Thought that was cool. I got to talk to Shook On3 also. He found it funny that someone signed up in the FFA with his gamertag though lol. Just so happened he was in Malices group in the FFA 1 round. So me and smoke are sitting there wondering if thats the real shook on3 when the real one is standing next to us. Anyways, once we found out he was the real one I got to talk to him for a few minutes also. Got to watch Lil Poison and Sad Panda play also.

6. If youre going to take a team, you better have a good team lol. I mean even in the AM brackets, there is some very good talent. You really need to practice a lot, but there lies the problem since were older and have the reality side of life aka jobs.
