Rough Night

My baby girl had a very rough night last night. She is in the small percentage of newborns who are affected by colic.

Infant colic is a condition in which an otherwise healthy baby cries or screams frequently and for extended periods without any discernible reason.

But then they explain,

Traditionally, colic was ascribed to abdominal pain resulting from trapped gas in the digestive tract.

Which is what I believe to be the case. So it's for no apparent reason that they cry, but because they are actually feeling pain. You see, I don't care about sleepless nights, cold dinners, endless crying, as long as my baby girl doesn't feel pain. It's fucking gut wrenching seeing your baby cry out in pain.

Julianne started showing signs of colic around 5 in the evening and it didn't get any better, just worse. We gave her some pain medicine our pediatrician recommended but it didn't seem to help this time. She couldn't get even 10 minutes of sleep without twisting and turning showing signs of discomfort. I usually sleep in the master bedroom and my wife with the baby in her room, but last night I couldn't bear to be apart seeing her the way she was. So I practically stayed up all night looking after her and trying to soothe her the best way possible, but nothing helped. She finally fell asleep around 3 in the morning after she made "doodi". It kinda eased her back down.

Supposedly colic only lasts during the first three or five months of a newborn's first year, but then you have the teething to look forward to.

SC's are plain and simple dick's, I hate the MF's with a passion friend or not. Really in war this is what you want but in a video game it makes it to one sided and doesn't help anyone learn the maps or tactics, especially in clan/friend group match's. Fucking Dicks, I agree.

I feel for all of you. I was unable to breast feed and both my kids were on formula with iron, when colic symptoms started I changed to formula without iron and just gave them the regular iron, they were like different babies. I did this after talking with the Dr. I also used a warm washcloth on their belly and this helped until I changed the formula.

The main reason like I have come to not like doing sharpshooter mode. While it keeps everyone involved by spawning, it generally ends up being frustrating.

A more constructive method of addressing the issue is to call the person/people out. Understanding the guilty party should know better, maybe they breached in by accident 4 times in a row, regardless, let them be accused and defend their situation. If said excuse be deemed lame the humiliation should cause some feelings of guilt. Should such actions continue with a given individual that person will be labeled as a spawn camper. People will be less inclined to invite that individual when numbers are high. The "screw you guys, I'm going home" approach avoids the problem/issue. But that is your choice.

Here is a good one, speaking of the subject of Spwan camping. http://digg.com/gaming_news/First_Spawncamp_Ever

@Elman Yep, normally I do that but how many times does it need to be said? The people doing it have heard myself and others talk about it, so there is no amnesty here. I guess constructive did not entail me asking people to respect it many times over in the past and even posting about it in our forums? Fuck all the excuses, nobody in that game last night was green enough to get away with it. My choice for sure, but rest assured I will also be choosing not to play as much now which sucks...and nobody's fault but mine in the end.

Have you tried the colic hold with her? Her head is in the crook of your arm (by your elbow) face down, with her tummy in your hand. It puts the right type of pressure on her belly. It SUPPOSEDLY helps. Erica never had colic, but I heard this works. Erica did get fussy for a week or so: gas pains we think. She found it most comfortable when she was being held like you are in teh picture: although I would sit up instead of stand. um... that is all I know. I wish I could help.

Sometimes jetting out is the best option. Is there a host boot option? That's a two game suspension if I had my way. If you don't want to respect the integrity and intent of the game, make sure you've got more friends than me on your list. 'Cos I'd tell 'em to eff themselves!

I don't mean to stir up trouble, because I was on the "spawn camping team" and did in fact find myself inside the church once because someone was shooting me through a window (and was promptly killed as soon as entered), but... If players from our team were consistently inside the church, yes, I'd say definitely camping and you could have sent me or someone a message saying "stay out of the church you campers." We could have told our team that and solved the problem. But, if camping is you guys being on the roof and us going up the ropes to get you, picking you off from the snipe location in the circular openings on the roof or the two towers, getting everyone in the alleyways besides the church, I have to say this is not camping. You guys almost never left the same area. You had opportunities to get the heck out of the church area into the other alleyways, even to our building, back roads, wherever, but all members of your team were hanging out in the same locations. (I did see Baine once or twice inside our building, and I did get killed by someone on top of our roof, but that was all I saw.) I killed someone 4 or 5 times hanging out by a car at the front of the church and he kept going back to the same location. I'm thinking, "Dude, I just killed you 4 times there, why are you going back?" As soon as we spawn, we had to run all the way across the map to get to the church. Doesn't that give your team time to change locations? Overall, I think communication with the other team and Elman's letting the people involved know directly would solve the issue better than saying you campers know who you are and not playing anymore.

I think you do need to respond. First off, this is airing dirty laundry of the clan. Instead of posting this in a "clan eyes only" topic in our forum (like you did your apology), you posted this for the whole site to read. "Yeah, 204, I read somewhere they spawn camp." Talk about impressions. Secondly, do you think I was a guity party? I honestly need to know. I was in the far bell tower and cut off access to the roof while pistol-sporting snipers came up one by one. I would hope that I've built a rep w/ you as a reasonable player so that I would not have to resort to cheating and I would call out teammates who were, but ambiguous posts like this make me question that because I care what my clanmates (aka friends) think about me. We need to hash things out because it is NOT clear, obviously. My understanding is that the DMZ is inside of the church, pure and simple. So, let's get this conversation back where it belongs...unless you just never plan on playing RB6 w/ me again. (At least when Kurupt disappears from a game, he doesn't make a blog about it. Obligatory Smiley. Payback, bitch.)

I posted an apology for the fuck off message, not for anything else. I am sure people are smart enough to know that our entire clan does not spawn camp. Speaking of impressions, I am sure it left a doozy on the new guy last night. I get your point however. I will not accuse you of being IN the spawn, that is only half of the problem. The other half is that there were 3 people on the roof, one of them covering the staircase and one covering rappel. I tried to run out of the front door and guess what? Bang, dead. Maybe it did not bother the others on my team (although it clearly did from their comments during the game before I left) or maybe they just don't want to rock the boat or maybe they were smarter than me and told you guys about it in the lobby but I guarantee I am not the only one to be unhappy about it last night. So tell me how that is at all fair and sportsmanlike? Of course I plan on playing with you again, we have been playing since the good old days of BF2 on the 180 and I don't plan on changing that. What I won't do is play sharpshooter anymore though. With anyone. Anyone can think whatever they like about me leaving, cursing and blogging about it. It won't change my opinion but I am however a big enough boy to get over it. I am not at all going to avoid anyone, we are all adults and like I said the part I felt bad about was my message...not the message behind the message. If anyone in the clan wants to talk to me about it, I am up for it at any time.

MJ I believe it's because of the stomach spasms they must get because of the gas in the intestines. We also give her anti-gas medication but that only helps to tone it down just a bit.

I feel for ya man. My oldest had colic as a baby. It sucked more so for her than us. It does get better though so take some comfort in that.
