Well, earlier than the man anyways, lol. He can sleep in till 4 o'clock in the afternoon and be okay...if I sleep in till 11 I feel as if I have wasted my entire day. I went to my little brothers fall season baseball game last night...his team sucked it up, lol. I love the kid, but they just did not have it together. Pitcher couldn't pitch, catcher couldn't catch and my brother was standing in the way wrong spot, lol....it was funny. The other team had it slightly more together...but it was still bad. When they do the fall season around here, they try to give the players different positions so that they can learn to be flexible, I guess. It was all good though, I haven't seen him play in a couple years...though I much prefer to see him play a decent game, lol.

I am on day 9 of not smoking!!! Whoohooo! If I can go a month the man says he will do something special for me..and for every month I go after that. Awesome! I wonder what it will be....hmmm. Well knowing him it will be good...he really is a great man, and no I'm not saying it because he might come on here later and read it...I'm saying it because it's true. I couldn't ask for anyone better and he is just plain awesome. Ok, enough with the sappy shit, lol. Ewwwww. Sometimes I disgustipate myself with my girlieness!!!

I received a lot of comments the other day on the Jena 6 blog, thanks to all who acted in a civil manner..I appreciate it. I know that discussions of any kind of supposed 'race' issue can get out of hand quickly and I really appreciate the way everyone behaved. Yay you!! lol. In any case, I have been reading up more on the issue...I still hold the same position I did before, but have more information on it. If anyone is interested I found a couple articles I found really informative. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jena_6 and http://www.amren.com/mtnews/archives/2007/09/jena.php They have a few conflicting details...but most are spot on. And one of them is from an 'anti liberal' website...but like I said, they both make (about) the same points...if you read them with an open mind.

Maybe it is just me, but if I were one of the black students, I would've been pissed about a noose hanging from the tree. The charges were very exaggerated, fights/beatings of this type(4 on 1, 2 on 1, 5 on 1 ,,whatever)happen ALL the time. Hate to say it, but it's nothing new.

CricketCross- Does getting pissed off about a (3 actually) noose in a tree give you the right to get a few of your friends together a few mths later and kick, punch, and stomp someone, who wasn't even involved, unconsious, then continue to beat them long after they had already been knocked out? Legally-No

From what I read in the links you provided , the white student who was beaten did taunt one of the other black students that were involved in the beating. Some other news reports even said he called him and other black students wonderful names. Now, if this is true, then I'm sorry, but that kid was just asking to get his ass kicked. Yes, he got a concussion from being beat up. Yes, his eye was swollen shut. But, come on, a school fight to me does not equal to charges of second degree attempted murder. Some of the charges have been dropped or lowered, but some of these kids are facing 22 years in prison. For that? I'm calling bullshit.

According to what I read the kid who was beat up had been laughing about one of the kids getting into a fight the weekend before. The kid that had been into the fight the weekend before is the one facing 22 years, the reason he was/is facing 22 years are as follows: and I quote "Mr. Bell, who was 16 at the time of the attack, had been on probation since he committed battery on Christmas Day, 2005. Since then, he had been found guilty under the juvenile system of three other crimes—two violent attacks and one property crime—before he even attacked Mr. Barker." Hmmmm, maybe this guy is just a violent individual who probably needs to go away for a while. You see, in my eyes, it has nothing to do with race....it's a legal issue. In most other peoples eyes, it seems to be a race issue and not a legal one.
