Better today....

Sorry for the double post, but I've been waiting forever for me to get off the top 7 and it just hasn't happened yet...so don't get all pissy people :) 

I am better today, still upset that I lost my job so close to Christmas...but it won't be long before I get another.  The supposed reason I was 'laid off' was because we lost a 6 million dollar a year contract with one company, that would be roughly 20% of total sales, no it wasn't my fault but because of that reason they had to make some major budget cuts.  I was told a few weeks ago that they were going to have to lay off 75% of "Plant 3",  we have 4, but that the accounting department was going to stay staffed they way it was....we were one person short as is.  So, I wasn't in fear for my job.  Unfortunately, I should have been :(.  The owner of the company really pissed me off though after everything happened...see yesterday morning he was all happy and friendly and shit...asked if I was going to have a good weekend, what my plans were and everything...I told him I had my kids, was going to do some Christmas shopping and blah blah blah...he said well good I hope you have a great time....knowing full well he is firing me 4 hrs later!!  Jackass if you ask me!!  My boss didn't look happy about the situation, but that could have been just because he doesn't like firing people...he said he really liked me, enjoyed working with me and wished he didn't have to do it...told me if there was anything he could do to help me out to let him know...I should have told him to take a salary cut and keep me on, lol.  After they told me, HR came and watched me like a hawk and told me to pack up all my shit..they would pay me for the rest of the day but I had to leave right then....didn't give me a chance to say anything to anyone....they suck!!!

Oh well....better things will come along I'm sure.  Thanks to everyone for the kind words...I really appreciate it :)
