I am an RN, and I work 12hr graveyard shifts. It is not really as bad as it sounds, as I do not have ot work as many days a week, but it can get exhausting. I work 3 day stretches, and have an odd schedule so that sometimes I have one day off between stretches, and sometimes 8. It is pretty cool actually.
So this morning at 0600 my boss comes on the floor and pleads with me to work an extra 4 hours. She has this sickeningly sweet voice and can get a little holier than thou, but she is my boss. I tell her I have to work tonight, and she tells me that she will take me off for the first 4 hours if I need her too. In reality I need the money and the little bit of overtime was too good to pass up. Besides after 12 hours there is kindof an adrenaline rush in pushing it to 16.
Fine, I do my shift and drag my sorry ass home. I sleep until 20:00 and wake up refreshed and ready to take on shit and germs. I grab some grub and am about out the door when staffing calls me an puts me on call for the shift. So now I am shorted hours, I can't have a beer cause I could get called in, I am wide awake all night long, and if I do fall asleep I know they will call me in for some redeculis 3 hour shift.
The worst thing about it is none of my MTGO clannies are on so I can't even get in some good casual gaming. My wife is also pissed about it, even though she knows it is not my fault. There is no fucking way I am pulling a 16 again for them, after getting screwed like this.
Oh, and to top it all off...that banner fucking sucks!!!! What is the sixe of the banner so that it will not get mashed?
