Shared on Wed, 01/24/2007 - 11:52It's been a few weeks since my last blog. I guess I was hoping that something interesting or exciting would pop up for me to blog about, but not so much. I think the biggest news is that I have almost completely transitioned back to World of Warcraft. I might have jumped on the 360 for a few hours in the past month to play some new XBL Arcade games and thats about it.
Some random comments:
1) Have you ever kept the pizza box in your refridgerator even though there is no pizza left in it? I finally threw mine out the other day after a few days. I think I ate the last piece at night really late and just didnt want to bother throwing it out. (Pizza boxes dont fold well or fit into my trash can). I think that I just got used to it being in the fridge, like a visual fixture that just seems so commonplace. Last night I was like, "Wow, there isnt any pizza in this box and hasn't been for almost 4 days!" So I finally threw it out. There is alot more room in my fridge for rummaging now.
2) The stairs leading up to my apartment are under construction. No big deal, I take a slightly longer detour to get to my door now. Now, I am not an engineer or construction oriented guy, but they have been working on this for almost 2 weeks now. Yesterday I asked the guys (who were aparently on a u nion "nap time" break) if they needed any help or extra tools. I was sincere and polite, but I think they got mad.
3) I had an interview with my career retention specialist today. I am up for reenlistment and wanted to get the ball rolling on that. The specialist, however, insisted on bombarding me with really long winded stories and anecdotes during the interview. All I needed to do was get a few peices of paperwork and leave. Being that I am almost always a polite and good natured person I am listening, smiling, and nodding, listening and nodding...
....listening...
....and nodding.
So finally I just told him, "I can't pretend to listen to what you are saying anymore...my neck is getting sore and I have a ton of stuff to do back at my office." A stunned look then appeared on his face, he shuffled my papers into a folder, handed them to me, and with an embarrassed look told me to have a great day.
I think that wraps up my blogging for the day. Leave a comment and bookmark me!
