What to say?

It's Monday.

I spent all weekend perched at my computer working on one project or another for classes.  Three more weeks of class and I'm free, for awhile to play.  I still haven't gotten the MS coffin to send my 360 back for repairs.  Again, I suppose this is a good thing so I concentrate on finishing with good grades.  Still sucks the big one!

The weather is finally back to where it should be and the puppy and I went for a walk this morning.  It was nice and crisp and we only woke up one big Rotti as we walked by.  I'm hoping the owners will learn to keep the dog inside so as to not disturb their neighbors (hehehe).  We got so much rain from the big storm that it is waaay too muddy to work the the little filly so that will have to wait until Wednesday, as long as we don't get any more precip.  I have to admit, I'm anxious to start working with her.  Her first lesson will be to get a long with other horses and she will be turned out with an alpha mare.  Since she believes herself to be an alpha, this could be interesting, but needs to be done.  She hasn't been socialized with other horses and really doesn't know how to submit which could be a problem when we really start working with her.

Tomorrow and Wednesday I will be giving a presentation at a famous prison so, I will have to blog about that on Thursday when I'm finished.

The trouble with facts is that there are so many of them.

Sounds like life is good (except for the 360). Do you have several horses or do you stable the filly with others folks horses? And don't tell me, you're going to do a Johnny Cash imitation at Folsum Prison?! (j/k) Good luck!

No, no Johnny Cash. I am actually doing a friend a favor working with this filly. I lost my own mare over a year ago and haven't had the money or time to replace her. This same friend has a boarding facility and I help him clean stalls on Sundays since his wife passed away last summer. Things are always looking up!
