Spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the district office and got my traveling assignment for the next two weeks. Kind of a bummer but considering how accommodating they have been so I can attend classes, I'm not complaining. Besides, I think I have all the equipment I need to be able to play xbox in my room at night.
Thursday was the kickoff to the clan 3 man Headquarter tournament. Since I had to have this explained to me I will give a brief explanation as to how this particular tournament is set up. There are two teams of three people on a map selected randomly by the program. On this map a radio will spawn and that point becomes a headquarters for the first team to arrive and camp. Then they have to defend their headquarters. Now, as they are defending, if they loose a teammate, that teammate does not get to respawn until the HQ is lost. But, the other team doesn't automatically gain control of the HQ. The radio respawns in a different direction and the process starts all over. If you are on the team trying to take the HQ you can respawn if you are killed.
There was a 15 minute time limit and the winner was the first to reach 300 points. We had a few games where it really came down to the wire. In fact, the second match in Stangs room was an impressive comeback by the winners with three minutes and 15 seconds left in the match.
