Shared on Tue, 11/20/2007 - 15:23the holiday season. In two more days, Thanksgiving will herald the "winter" holidays. For me, this will be a Merry Christmas. For others, it may be Happy Hanuka (sp?). Whatever your greeting, give it and receive others in the spirit they are given. I have never understood why there are those who get all bent out of shape because they might be greeted with Merry Christmas yet, they aren't Christian. To me, it's no different than someone saying "Happy Hanuka" to me. The greeting is an extension of the person giving it. There is no insult behind it nor malice.
This is the time of year that most humans make a concerted effort to be kind to their fellow man. Why not each day of the year? Why is this glimmer of humanity saved for the last month of the year?
Would you rather
Have to wear Groucho Marx glasses (with the plastic nose) 24 hours a day
Or
Have to wear a rain poncho 24 hours a day?
Keep on Go and have a safe Thanksgiving holiday (for those in the states):)
