Shared on Tue, 04/10/2007 - 08:56You know, I would love to say that Monday was a good day but, I can't. It wasn't like Sexkitten looking for a job or Baine being injured but I feel the need for a self-pity party and Pollyanna is out, probably working with Scary Fox since Bud can't be found, the bum:)
It really didn't start out, every thing just snowballed, not a big snow ball , but it might hurt someone if thrown. My teeth have still been hurting ever since the dentist carved out some of my teeth (because of cavities, my bad) and refilled them. The irritation didn't leave and they became sensitive to temperature and pressure. Which wouldn't be all bad but it was both sides of my mouth. AND, they worked on them last week. So, yesterday I go back in and the dentist works on the left side after I tell him where and how the pain manifests. He gets his trusty little Dremel and starts working and hits some very sensitive spots. His conclusion is that because they worked on both sides of one tooth the nerve is "mad."
Ok, he sends me home with an anti-inflammatory to try and soothe the irritated nerve. But, he says, if it doesn't get any better in 10 days or worse within that time frame, they may need to perform a root canal because the nerve is damaged. GRRRRRRRR! Till then, hot foods and cold foods are out and I can't eat anything that is as crunchy as a snack bar (granola-type). Wait and see.
Secondly, the test I was so diligently studying for last week? Well, not so good of a grade. I'm very depressed because for my to reach my grade goal of the semester, I will need to earn each and every point offered for the rest of the semester, including the final.
know, this isn't a life or death situation and I will survive, but I'm an over achiever and I expect the best from myself and don't like to fail. I have asked to be able to write a paper to gain extra credit, but I'm not sure if that will fly. Needless to say Dastard tried to cheer me up yesterday and invoked the name of Pollyanna. I had to chuckle because my first thought was the voice from The Exorcist saying, "Pollyanna isn't here!" But, he's right, there is nothing bad in this news, just how I view it. Needless to say, my gaming will have to take a back seat until I finish this semester! That doesn't include this week, though. I still need some stress relief and shooting something works.
Oh, yea, the heat is out in my office and will be until fall and it is colder than ( insert your favorite metaphor).
Ok, my pity party is over, thanks for coming drive safe!
