Ice Warning

"With the increase in tempatures today, the ice that has accumulated on the trees and powerlines is now falling. Falling ice can cause significant injuries. Please make efforts to avoid walking under powerlines and trees when possible."

I received this in an email today.  My first thought was DUH!  But, considering the litigious nature of some people, I'm sure there is someone out there who would be hit by falling ice after walking under a large tree with hanging branches from the weight of the ice and sue the owner.

Luckily, Dastard and I have not lost power during these storms, but we have gained teenagers.  The local high school is still without power and has been since Monday night.  So, the xbox has been getting an enormous workout this past week.  I had to threaten last night so I could log on for boot camp.  I may have to use the same tactics tonight since the kids don't have school again tomorrow.

I really have to chuckle as the kids are rejoicing in their days off, they don't realize that winter is just getting started and they only have so many snow days and then the school year  begins to lengthen:)  Too bad for the seniors, MWAHAHAHAHA.

Gaming news:
Got my Trittons and really like them when I can hear people.  We had a bear of a time in boot camp trying to hear Stang as he went through the maps.  There was a good number of us who could not hear him at all until the lobby.  Then I couldn't hear other people as they talked.

But, I'm slowly moving up the ranks.  I'm at level 16 and need maybe two good games to reach17.

Ah well.

Question,  Is it wrong to have your favorite Christmas song, "The Chanukah Song " By Adam Sandler?

Keep on Go!

Ice Storm came our way Tuesday. Kids got the day off. They are fixing to have two weeks off for Christmas starting Thursday of next week. I guess it is too much common sense to have shorten their Winter Break by a day instead of tacking it on to the end of the school year. :~
