Shared on Mon, 04/09/2007 - 08:50Dastard was out of town visiting the boys and I didn't have anything pressing to do for class so I had the house and 360 to myself, what bliss. I activated my Gold account and played some CoD3, unlocked an achievement and then played some Halo 2 and am now ready to begin The Arbitor section of SP. I'm slowly learning to run and gun and it is helping in both games. Unfortunately, it didn't help much as I started driving in CoD to get to the next hostage to free and I kept turning the wrong way and finally got pwnd. A good gaming weekend. It would have been better if I could have hooked up with some 202p players, but the timing didn't allow. I tend to go to bed early, even on the weekends to keep my sleep clock in check, so 9pm is my cutoff time. No problem, I have clan night coming up.
I also took advantage of the time to watch "Rocky Balboa." Yes, the latest in the lineup. I wasn't sure what to expect since it got trashed by just about everyone. But, I kept an open mind and actually enjoyed the film. There was a lot of nostalgia pertaining to the loss of Adrian and how Rocky just can't seem to move forward with his life. There are some good, albiet cliche, sound bites that left an impression:
You are only as old as your "heart."
"You don't have to owe anyone to do something nice for them"
The movie was heartfelt and a decent goodbye to the legacy of "Rocky" movies and I'm glad I watched it. Young versus Old, while we may not win all of the time, we will give the young a run for their money and they will remember.
You know you're getting old when you stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you could do while you're down there.

I'll try to repost the Easter card from yesterday cause describing it doesn't do it justice.
Keep on Go!
