This weekend Dastard and I are kicking off an idea that was born last September but never implemented, until now. We have a small group of friends whose company we enjoy. I happen to be watching the Food Network one day and Rachel Ray mentioned having themed dinners. I thought this was a great idea since we all have our favorite meals that originate from a different region, be it nationally or internationally.
So, this weekend we are hosting Greek night. Now, granted I'm no officianado [sp?] of all that is Greek, but I have had an introduction and loved everything. So, I am making Spanakopita. Now, one of the couples also suggested having game nights as an excuse to get together (like we really need excuses). So, I also thought to introduce these people to the joys of gamine we would fire up the Wii and play some sports or RRR. Especially since the Wii was purchased by HH as part of my birthday and Valentines Day gift, I'm anxious to share.
Well, I must say the rest of my day will be spent either studying for my test tomorrow or editing a coworkers report so he doesn't look like the complete idiot that he is. I 'm sure some of you are saying why help. Granted, it is right up there with pulling out my toenails, but he did ask, and he does need it. So far he is being very humble in my suggestions and hopefully he will learn something so he can do his job right. Otherwise, he make all of us look bad and he is on the verge of being reassigned. (Gov speak for moving to a different job) So, he did ask and I feel it is the right thing to do.
