Better Days

Yes, this is a better day.  My teeth seem to be responding to the anti-inflammatory and don't seem quite so sensitive.  Whew!  I also talked with my instructor about my grade and the possibility of doing extra credit to help and I now have a report about incorporating the class content with my program internship that I'm doing for the grad program.  I hate to say this but, I'm kind of looking forward to this as it will help me actually design what my project should look like.  Yes, it takes time from gaming, but there will be time to game when I need a break.  So, after a brief pity party, things always look better.

I have to admit that I am grieving my outdoor plants.  My lilacs, especially.  Last weekend we had some below 20 degree temperature in the evening and the fragile tree leaves are gone, frozen and dead.  My lilacs look bad and I'm not sure if they are dead or not, but I lost all of the fragrant blooms.  Yes, I did cover each plant that was in danger.  But, it was sooo cold the water in the leaves froze, creating ice crystals which then destroy the internal cells.  There is no recovery after that.  They just weren't protected enough.  The plants closer to the ground did seem to fare better but, they are on a wait and see if they will snap out of the blahs.

Still no heat in my office building.  I'm sooooo glad I purchased a space heater a few years ago.  I'm one of the few who have one.  It takes awhile to warm up my room since I turn it off at night to be a responsible person and not create a fire hazard.  It helps.

I've been watching the news regarding Don Imus and the blow up his comment created and I feel a rant approaching.  It's been a while since I've felt the need and had the time.  Coming soon.
