OVER 40 TOURNEY VID

So some of you who partake in are monthly over 40 extravaganza, may be asking yourselves. "hey where;s the video of the august tourney?" or "Dantez usually puts them out pretty quick, it's going on a week now" Wel the short answer, new camcorder (the one used for 2old2play vid) and the way I import use to be through this IEEE 1394 firewire thingy, don't ask for details, it just allowed me to watch vid, pause rewind capture what i wanted and, MOVE ON (quickly) to next scene. Well the NEW camcorders use this file format of MPEG-2, kinda like the files on a dvd (if not exactly like), anyway PAIN IN MY ASS. You have to import to computer, convert the audio, then after all that the entire footage has to be imported into the software! needless to say this whole cumbersome process sucks (what I did for the 2old2con vid was analog copy all the raw footage to my old camcorder, and did the port from there ~ same as old montages)...well i returned the dvd style camcorder on friday (kept the movies on my computer), and am stuck with no way of transporting mpg to my old camcorder...STCUK, STUCK, STUCK...MPEG-2 file review completely impeeds my creative flow (remember I'm an ARTEEEAST! ~) so my option now is to review the film create sub-clips and try to assemble something from there (cumbersome and draining)...The upside to this whole scenario is that my new camcorder (en route) is IEEE compliant so it'll be like the good ole days shortly, In the interim, I'm thinking about sending the footage to say maybe "ROCK" and let him have a go at it...didn't he suggest that lynard skynard song anyway...I'll keep you posted
