ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

it's been one whole year since this post: dated sept 14th 2005:
Over 40 (yrs old) online tournament
Dates and details to follow. Trying to determine who is the worlds greatest over 40 H2 player. any takers?

Well 54 pages and 11668 posts later, all i can say is man and what a fun year it has been. He made the front page of bungie, we've established that we actually can hold a controller and discipline the kids simultaneously. We added some faces, we've lost a few. We've seen family challenges (a separation, divorce ~ hell the only reason you won that one time hamster is cause my crazy ex-fiancée and her ADHD distracted me j/k), job challenges, medical challenges (one spine surgery and a gall bladder surgery ~ feel better team, you know we are all praying for you), but more over, I swear we have made some genuine friendships, shared things way bigger than a FFA tourney on H2, and have built a kinship that will probably never be severed. I couldn't have told EM from a stranger on the street, but meeting her at the LAN, and that big ole hug, showed me this little tourney of ours has transcended us being "just gamers". Doorgunner walking up to me and saying "hey dantez" put a grin on my face that makes me wish i had the camera pointed towards me. Rock (newest member to our family by way of turning 40 ~ not so gracefully), saying "what's up buddy" reinforced to me that we are joined and the wheelchairs and are kinda stuck with each other.
So here's to all the over 40 year olds. Thanks you for your participation, thank you making it fun, but thank you for your friendship! And see you on our 1 year anniversary on Tuesday.

OBTW ~ thanks 2 2old2play for providing us a marvelous venue to come together

PS ~ and if you think that because I just typed all that mushy stuff I'm going to go an easier on you Tuesday, you've got another thing coming! GUNS BLAZING! Leroy Jenkins!
