Tight with a Per Diem at work. She's one of the deadly 5. 5 people employed in the entire hospital that I do trust. The new hire was hired long before I voiced my want of that shift. Why? He was about to be fired from Desert Ridge MRI.
Her husband is employed at Desert Ridge. The Per Diem MRI Tech needed another job before he was fired. He was up to his ears in warnings with the Banner facility for unmotivation, uncleanlessness and best of all...continually forgetting to send images to PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
Which, conincidently, was what my verbal warning was for....for a 1st offence in 2 yrs of employment.
Sweet Karma. How I love thee. How I love that my jackass Supervisor has hired a Tech that will ultimately fail horrendously. That last night alone, the current night tech performed 33 patients alone from midnight to 630 am, when the first dayshifter arrives (a BIG amount for those not in Radiology).
This guy's gonna fail.
I'm going to laugh.
The Angio Supervisor today asked me to apply to Interventional Radiology when an opening appears because, "WE treat our Tech's with compassion."
...looks like this Velvet Assassin did her job right after all. I just may become an Angio Tech but I'll definately be laughing my ass off at work for the next 6 months.
Coulow. Out.
