Invite Only

I haven’t been following the whole v3 “upgrade” conversation in great detail but the whole invite only debate certainly seems to be a controversial one. Now I know the 2euro2play clan is a small part of the site but we are pretty active and like to think we add a bit of colour around the place and bring a fresh perspective to things.

One thing is for certain making 2old2play invite only will be the end of 2euro2play.   Bar some of the older members the rest of the clan have pretty much surfed in via Google. As we are based around a geographic region rather than a common game interest we don’t gain new members by inviting friends. As a result we have members from all over including Ireland, England, Scotland, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium and the Caribbean (!).  If becoming a member requires an invite there will be no mechanism for fresh blood people to join the same way we all joined.

Now maybe I’m misunderstanding how the invite only system will work and I appreciate the desire to get rid of spam once and for all, but I for one would like to see the site remain as open as possible to all and any new recruits.
