Anyone who's followed this blog knows of my pet rats.. and the fact that anything that has rats incorporated (positively) in the gameplay makes me happy. An example: The Rat Cellar in Guitar Hero 2. That was the venue I played on every time after beating the game. Why? Because you could see rats in it. My trillian icon is the Portal "Lab Rat" achievement icon. I screenshot a rat in Halo 3 and was delighted to see that it appeared as a friendly blip on my SPARTAN radar. I briefly played EQ2 to be a Ratogna. Seriously, if someone made a Nintendo DS game like Nintendogs only with rats, I'd buy it instantly.
So, upon booting up GH3 and earning some cash (yes, I got it early, blame Newegg.com), I discovered there was a guitar called Rattus Norvegicus (the genus & species of the common rat in taxonomy). Essentially, it's a sculpted toilet with a stuffed rat coming out of the toilet seat which is where the pickups would be on a traditional electric guitar. Take an absolute wild guess what my "Favorite Axe" stat is on my game data over at Guitarhero.com?
