PC Failure

Well, my PC started endlessly rebooting last week.  A friend who is better with hardware and software than me (which isn't that hard, but I did build the damn thing from the ground up in 2005 without issue), shuttled it off and has determined that it isn't the memory or hard drive.  Which leaves the processor and motherboard.

I have been speccing out a system on and off, but wasn't quite prepared to shell out again for a new system.  Maybe I can simply upgrade my wife's Dell box and we can share...  Hrm... maybe not.

A perfectly workable web browsing/document writing/spreadsheet using computer can be gotten for less than $400. And if you built it from the ground up in 2005, you should be able to replace the processor and motherboard for a lot less than $400.

Yeah, but the wife is using Photoshop and some other stuff that needs horsepower. Still pondering.

My video card took a crap and I got the endless rebooting, just a thought.
