Shared on Fri, 01/11/2008 - 21:20Hmm, where to start. The fitness forum! All is going well after ending our 2nd week. I'm not telling the weight loss for some, but I will say that I am very proud of my team! GO TEAM CURVY! And I will say that I myself have lost 5 lbs since Jan 2nd
Not too shabby, I think. Feb 1st is our first official forum weigh in. Everyone will weigh in and report to their team leader. All Team Leaders will report that to MJ and he will then post the total loss in his blog, so keep an eye out for it. I am also very proud of everyone that has signed up and participated and has made changes in their lives to make it better for them. I know it's a very difficult thing to do. Keep up the GREAT work!
Big changes in LB's and my home life. As you all know, he posted in his blog that he quit his job this week. I am so proud of him for taking such a big leap to make things better. I know he was miserable. So now he will be working from home. Yes, what a dream job! It's gonna be very very different and I will need, no, we will need time to adjust to him being home all day with me. No, I don't work out of the home. It'll be nice that we will not have to spend so much $$ on gas, on his lunches, etc.
Well now that the Holidays are over and everything is all packed up and put away, the house is back to normal, I have started yet again to work on my genealogy. I have done so for the past 5 years off and on. I have seen a shit load of graves in Pa, where my dad grew up and my family is dated WAAAAAY back to that area. I love doing this and it gets very exciting when you find your ancestors. Just think..back in the 1700/1800's having 15 kids was the norm
I mean, can you imagine growing up with 14 sibs? It's interesting to see what they did for a living, where they lived, etc. LB doesn't get it..he laughs at me when I get excited cause I found someone else and their kids, lol. He did install a program for me though. It's called the "Heritage Family Tree". You just put all the info in you have on a person and it tells you that this person is your 5th cousin 10 times removed. It's great. And I have close to 700 names listed! I did find out I am (very distant) related to Louisa May Alcott.
I am having a bit of trouble with some names. So if you live in the Jefferson Co of Pa (or surrounding areas) and you know of Doverspike, Daubenspike, Smith, Rugh/Ruch, let me know, I am having a hell of a time finding them.
Well, that's about all I got for now
