OS 4.0 beta 2 installation

waiting on the installation to finish so I thought that I would drop a few lines. hopefully this won't take much longer. i'm working 12 hour+ days and my day starts at 4 a.m. and it's already 9:30! ughh...i'll be glad when this week is over and we get back to normal.

anyway, enough about work. So I picked up "Just Cause 2" the other day. I traded off "Metro 2033" and I have to say that i'm not really that concerned with only receiving $18 for it. Normally I don't trade in my games because it is such a ripoff but, i had to admit to myself that I probably wasn't really going to play this game that much more because i just couldn't get into it. Matter of fact, I never even downloaded the special weapon that was only available to people who preordered the game! sad huh? However, Just Cause 2 has been very entertaining. I think it's a bit of a sleeper if you get my drift. I'm not sure if there's any MP (i don't think there is unfortunately) but, it's an open world game that's freakin HUGE and a ton of fun to play. I mean, where else can you tether a motor cycle to an airplane? if you haven't tried this one yet and you like games along the same lines as "GTA" or "Mercenaries" give this one a shot! there's a demo out and it's free so what's the harm right?

oh son of a bitch. everytime i click back onto my iTunes screen to see how much longer I have to wait on the installation & restore it INCREASES! it started at 7 min left and then it went to 8 min left. Now i'm at 14 minutes left. UUUUuuuugghhh,,,,,,,,,hulk smash anyone?

Well i've still been fixing the XBOX3fixme's and I've ran into one that's got me stumped. I'm thinking there is a short somewhere and from what i've been reading online it seems to be the concencsus about the problem. Here's what it's doing: Power up the unit, after 2-3 seconds i get 2 flashing lights and immediate shutdown. the fans are normally on HIGH speed as soon as the xbox starts up. it's like it's overheating even though it hasn't even powered up for longer than a few seconds. weird i know but, i'm going to check a few things on it this weekend with my DMM and some other equipment and see if i can't trace down the problem. hopefully it is just a short that i can fix somwhere and get this xbox back up and working. it's an elite so i would really like to replace the one I fixed and sold that i have up on my upstairs tv.

time to check the installation....FUCK SERIOUSLY?!?!? 19 MINUTES!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! oh well, whatever...good night. :)
