Halo Reach Beta

So I've pretty much been ignoring every other game that I own right now so that I can concentrate on the Reach beta before time expires. I like the beta and have already reserved my copy of Reach about a month ago (when I bought ODST so I could play the beta). I've been reading quite a bit of rants and positive feedbacks of the game but, there are still a few issues that I haven't seen popping up. So i'm starting to wonder, am I the only one this is happening too?

1. Shield lock ability while standing up - i'm shooting the piss out of some turd and he goes into shield lock but then stands right back up with shield lock still in place. WTF

2. Assassination FAIL - I assassinate some noob and his friend kills me before the animation is over and the noob walks away without a scratch. WTF

3. LAG - Lame Ass Gaming as far as I'm concerned. My character goes through the throwing animation and back to the rifle stance....and then my grenade magically appears like it's being shot out of my head. WTFSWC (What the fuck shitty walmart connection)

4. DMR headshot or no - I shoot unsuspecting ass 5 times in the head with DMR on slayer and he does NOT DIE. besides the fact the ass just sat there and took FIVE SHOTS FROM A RIFLE TO THE HEAD! WTF

5. Capture the Flag - More like capture the FAIL. There are so many quitters in this mode I normally end up on a team where 2 people have quit and we're up against 4 people. And the other team still says "We crushed them! That was sooooo easy." A. - I still managed to get the flag 3/4 of the way to the goal even being outnumbered. B. - Your team of 4 still only scored 1 point because we stopped you the other time. C. - the only thing that's easy is your mother. So shut your mouth when you're talking to me.

6. Network Test 1 - Weak as hell. Needs to be a full on squad like slayer or something. 3v3 just doesn't seem to be that fun. Not to mention I would rather be shitting on someone else and not a damn generator.

7. Pistol (aka Hand held sniper bazooka) - Why on God's green earth is there a weapon that deals more damage than a rifle? (see complaint number 4) I shoot with rifle and asswax shoots with pistol, I LOSE. Tone the pistol down a notch.

8. Shotgun zoomer - sometimes when i shoot the shotgun i zoom in with my binoculars. Like I'm looking for the giant hole i just blew open in my opponent. I was thinking this might be my over excited reflexes but, this is the only weapon that it happens on.

10. Not having enough friends playing the beta to have a team of my own that I can rely on to not run off trying to be fucking Rambo. I swear, as soon as the game starts my team of randoms scatters like roaches with the lights on. I normally try to latch on to someone and do a little team effort shit but, I normally end up finding the drooling half-minded blind-mute running around acting like a damn bullet sponge.

Even though I just finished a top 10 rant about the beta I still enjoy playing it. There's plenty of reasons I enjoy the beta but one of them stands out more than all the other. And I must admit, the one major reason is.....the Hammer. I will fucking sprint up and MASH your spine into OBLIVION every chance I get. Some people love the sniper, some grenades and even some the needle weapons. Not me. Give me the hammer any day and I will dish out some ass-smashing punishment round after round. Maybe it's just my style of game play, or as some would say "the only way I can get kills" OR maybe it's just something to do with my personality. If there's ever a zombie infection and the Apocolypse is upon us, you know where you will find me. I'll be that crazy motherfucker smashing heads with a big freaking stick!
