Eye Strain

I've noticed lately I've been getting nasty headaches from playing. Normally it only happens when i play for more than a couple of hours at a time and my eyes usually hurt like shit as well. I'm starting to wonder if the lighting is off where I play at. Or I'm just playing too damn much. Anyone else dealing with this?

On a side note, my Halo 3 Edition xbox 360 got the good ol' RROD. I wasn't even playing it. All I did was turn it on. Apparently the thought of having to play a game scared it into breaking. Now I have to try and fix the damn thing. Good thing I have a few backups until that one is up and running! :D

Yountdog swears by the gunnars. Sometimes I will burst a bloodvessel in my eye when I play for too long. Yount said that used to happen to him until he got a pair of gunnars.

You should look into getting some Gunnars for when you'r eplaying. They reduce eye strain.

I think you may need to get your eyes checked. You'd be surprised but you might be due for some prescription glasses.

I had a similar situation, which I believe I need some low power reading glasses. I increased the lighting in my gaming space and it has helped. Also, the Gunnars mentioned above have a reading glasses type zoom of about +1.25 or +1.50 can't remember. That would help as well.
