Star Blog #26

Shorter Star Blog today.  I'm currently 15th in my league - still climbing that ladder.  However it may not matter for this season but should give me a positive start on next season.  This season ends on October 10th!  So I just want to work on playing good games and doing well.  I'm hoping with a little luck and some wins that maybe when the next season starts October 24th (3 weeks of stat free playing in between!) that I will land in Silver or at least maintain a high Bronze level.

"The Season 3 lock will go into effect the week of October 10th. Season 3 will officially end, and Season 4 will begin on the week of October 24th. Season milestone rewards will be locked in at this time, and bonus pools will start over. Hidden skill ratings used for matchmaking and league placement will carry over from the previous season, so players who have completed placement matches in a previous season will only need to play one new placement match after Season 4 starts."

The other news surrounding this is that Season 4 will only be 2 months long - I think current seasons are 4 months long - so this is significant.  but I think it is good - because with new seasons come new maps in the rotation :) and really your MMR (hidden stat of how you are rated) stays the same - so you aren't losing anything.  If you want to reset your MMR you have to skip a season.

Just finished winning 4 in a row which is nice.

In other news - I picked up Dark Souls today.  I'm so happy - Demons Souls is one of my favorite games this generation and the spiritual successor just improves upon what they created in DS.  I'm about to go put another hour into that.  I imagine I'll be having nightmares tonight lol
