Are blocks 'A' and 'B' the same color? Scroll down for the answer.

Yes, they are the same color. To convince you, I copied and pasted block 'B' and placed it in between 'A' and 'B'. You can see that they are the same. I found this on NASA's "Astronomy Picture of the Day" page. They used this as an example to show that "purely human observations in science may be ambiguous or inaccurate." Pretty neat.

uh...just for the sake or argument...that would not make sense, if you are staying with the checker board design..Unless the whole board is the same color...Which I do not think it is...

No, the whole board's not the same color. The dark and light squares are darkened for the cylinder's shadow. 'A' and 'B' are the same color, as shown in the 'answer' image. If you still don't believe it, take the image into an image editor, cut out square A and square B, and set them adjacent to each other. You will see. :D

Squint, you'll see it. I thought it was shit too, but if you really try to cut all the crap out, you'll see that the blacks are just deeper blacks, and the greys in the shadows are as grey as the other grey squares on the board.
