Today's Gripe

So I go to the bank at lunch to deposit my check.  Normally I'd drop it in the night box or go through the drive through but today I was out of deposit slips so I went inside to grab some more and just do it at the walk up teller.  I get there to find 4 people in line waiting.  Not too bad, there's 3 CSR people up there so this shouldn't take long.  I was wrong!  Apparently only 1 of those people actually was helping anyone the other two were just there as some sort of living mannequin display or something.

So here's the thing.  I understand that sometimes you're going to have to get some work done that will pull you away from helping the customers that are right in front of you.  Could you at least go do that work somewhere I can't see you?  Otherwise it seems like you're just ignoring me to do something that could just as easily be taken care of when it's not the middle of lunch hour rush.

Read below for details on the OMM game night tonight if you're interested in some casual Halo 3 games.

Agreed. That shit drives me nuts. I was in line at a Dunkin Donuts once and an employee came over to the second register, I thought she was going to help the people in line, and instead she dumps the tip cup on the counter and started counting money.

Do you bank with Wells Fargo? It's been years since I worked there as a Teller, but their policy was to always try to maintain a line of 3 people if they could help it. The idea was to push customers to use the ATM's and other alternative ways of banking (via phone, online, etc). No joke. That's why I bank with Credit Unions now. So much better.

I'm at National City or PNC or whatever they call themselves these days. I'm seriously considering moving to Ally. The only real issue I have is that my current employer doesn't use direct deposit so it would mean a bit of a delay to send checks in.
