Microsoft Requests

The new Xbox Dashboard has been with us for nearly a week now and I'm starting to get used to it.  It's gotten me thinking of a few other things I'd like Microsoft to introduce and/or improve upon though....

1. The ability to change the color of the clothes your Avatar is wearing.  If I can change the hair color and the eyebrow color, why not the color of my sweater?

2. I want a multi-disc changer for my games.  Better yet, make one of those players a Blu-Ray.

3. I'd like a size "large" ear loop for my wireless headset.  It comes with "small" and "medium" but some of us are full grown adults.

4. The ability to create our own themes for the dashboard.  We can create games now, why not something as simple as a theme?

5. Speaking of themes, let me preview the theme in it's entirety before you make me buy it.

6. How about some sort of partnership with Gamefly that allows us to d/l game rentals directly?  No more waiting for a disc to arrive in the mail.

7. How is it this thing doesn't have a built in internet browser yet?

Anything you'd like to see in the future?

In the next update I would like to have my 360 greet me when I turn it on. Maybe ask me how my day was and how is the weather. Who knows, maybe even tell me a joke or keep me updated with local sports scores. Speaking of themes, where can I get a Rachel Ray theme at? Damn that woman can cook. Not asking much, but get with it X-Box Live.

"I'd like a way to skip through the visual friend's list more rapidly. Maybe a skip five at a time button or something." @ trupundit you can skip using the RB and LB it skips either 4 or 5 friends at a time

You can create you own themes for the dashboard. I forgot how but you can use photos from your computer just like you customize your desktop.

I agree with most of what you said, but I do not want a built internet browser. It just opens the door to all kinds of viruses, spyware and all kinds of viruses that Timmy can be the big man on campus for a day by crashing XBL.

The theme preview is something that bugs me. Some of the old themes you could get a really tiny preview in that banner. I would think the game rentals thing would be a strain on the service with the amount of GB that would be downloaded for certain games.

I agree with everything but a browser. Pretty much for what Baymen said. Just opens your Xbox up to get fucked by some wannabe script-kitty haxxor prick. The ability to turn the ads off. I mean...come on. We pay $50 a year for Live. Why is the first thing I see on my dashboard ads for bullshit I dont care about. I want My Xbox to be the first thing highlighted.

Side note: I remember someone who was hoping they'd make it possible to put a disc in the tray and not have it auto-start the game. They do have that function now and it's awesome. I don't remember who it was but if they read this, and haven't found it yet, it's a system option now. end side note

I'd like a way to skip through the visual friend's list more rapidly. Maybe a skip five at a time button or something. I think a future update will make avatars more editable. I hope so anyway. I'd also like to be able to sort my friend's list by game being played so that I don't have to scroll all around to see who all is in a particular game.

What would be cool, is if it at least put the people playing the game you have in your tray first in you friend's list. Kind of like the "What's Up?" option in GoW2.

Is it possible they're planning that for the future? It already tells you when there are friends playing a game when you start it up, and also you can view friends in groups and what they're playing--seems like it'd be a short hop to actually telling you who's playing that same game and giving you an option to jump in when you start the game.

I'd love an external disc changer for games.
