Some times I miss Texas

It's been almost 9 years since I moved here from Dallas (richardson to be exact).  Some times I really miss TX.  Maybe its the chilli on baked potato for lunch that I just ate, but I really miss it some days.

Two of our Wii controllers ran out of batteries yesterday.  we powered it up because it was flashing blue at us.  I thought it was a sys update, but it was just a msg about the wand-condoms.   However two of the three wands we have ran out of the juice.  I guess it's time to look into getting a recharge kit.  Not that we use the wii much.  And I still haven't picked up paper mario since before going to Raleigh.  Oh well I'll get around to it.  At the moment I'm trying to finish a Job.

Hockey season starts today too.  For my brethren (and sisters) in the northern states and Canada this is usually a big deal.  I can't wait to get home, and put on my Sundin Jersey, and crack open an MGD and plop down in my office to watch the game on our little 24" sdtv, while Shannon flips around and watches something dumb on the 42" downstairs.  At least I'll get to do some work up in the office.  She's really good about not bothering me when I'm doing work.  She'll even bring me dinner.

We just had our 1 year anniversary on Sunday.  I know it sound gushy but I'm still in love with her.  Even though we've been together around 7 years, lived together for 5.  Something about the exitement of "us" hasn't worn off for me.  OH well.  I'm wasting time and my lunch is almost over.

Blog you later.

What I love about Texas are those huge breakfasts. Huge French toast, huge omelette's, huge bacon slices. God damn I'm so freaking hungry right now.

The biscuits and gravy are completely killer there too. Just TRY to find a good biscuits and gravy up here in the great white north. Good freaking luck!
