Scared

Been a long time since I've blogged, primarily due to a hectic spring schedule both at work and with the family after hours.  However, I felt compelled to warn those who live in or around the NE Philadelphia area.  My eldest son turned 15 today, so it is now 365 days until you should be extra careful on the roads.  I'm scared to death of the idea of one of my kids driving, not because I don't think they will learn to drive or are incapable, but rather because I know how stupidly I drove as a teenager.  I don't relish the long nights of waiting up for him, hoping everything is OK, but knowing full well I can't hover over and micromanage his social life either.  The only solace I can take is that he will certainly not be driving my car except for one day to learn to drive a manual transmission.  After that, he'll be in the wife's minivan exclusively.

Then again...one of my friends growing up was stuck in a minivan and I still wonder how we never flipped it on it's side driving the way we did.

I'm screwed.  That's all there is to it.

The original was decent. I found it a little repetative, so I don't think that I finished it. NG

I didn't finish the first one either. I found it to be a decent game but ultimately just another resident evil style of game. I may DL the demo but not sure yet.

It was an ok shooter. I wouldn't call it Resident Evil style in any way, though. I played the demo of FEAR 2, and thought it was much better than the first. It's worth playing the first one to understand what's going on in the second, though, as it appears it picks up immediately after the first.

Well if you're really that worried, you can get GPS tracking devices and track your cars wareabouts on the internet now for pretty inexpensive these days.

It is bad. My son turned 16 Nov, 2008. In January 2009 he rolled his S10 Blazer, totalled. In May, 2009, he rolled the replacement car. Not totalled, just $2000 of body work. The first one, circumstances were understandable, lack of experience. The second one, stupidity. The really sad part is you jump every time the phone rings while he's gone. That and your insurance is going to triple. Good luck!
