I had taken a bit of a break from my late night gaming....why? because I have started a new Hobby,...models!

Yes, those little plastic pieces you spent 15 min building and 3 min trashing when you were a kid....but this time I am taking my time, putting focus on the detail. multiple coats of paint, constantly touching up spots as I assemble them.....well, I have about 6 hours of work into the first set I picked....it's an 1-35th scale ammerican anti-tank team. each person in the 4 man team only has about 25 parts, but they have 40 or so different weapons as well..... but after 9 hours of painting, edging, scraping with a razor blade more painting to camoflage the spots where the plastic bits came together, and focusing more on a single tiny project than i have anything else.....ever! and fighting for near perfection, I have my first little guy 95% finished....just a touch up and a clear coat. here's what he looks like at the moment.....

I just have assembly on the other 3, then touch up painting again, and clear coat and I can start on the Duce and a half transport I've assigned for my next one.

Very cool. I have been researching this exact thing. I have several questions for you. Where did you pick them up at? What company made them? That will do for now until I wake up good? I have been looking all over the internet at people's websites to learn about this. Just not sure if I have the ability.

@H2 well, I've been using Tamiya and Dragon models, they are intricate, but not impossible. overall they are a good starting point if you have a bit of patience. here is the link to this current kit. http://www.amazon.com/35-US-Army-Anti-Tank-Team/dp/B000BROCV0/ref=sr_1_2... I spent about $5 for it, but I got mine from a specialty shop in Middletown PA. I'm also using Military Paint kits by Testor, it seems to have all the colors I'd need (but it didn't have any flesh tone paint)

Thanks for the info. Like I said, I have been researching it all. What got me into it is I remember my dad having some lead molds for toy soldiers from his youth. I asked him about them thinking it would be cool to pour some and try painting them. He is looking for them now but I started researching it and really love looking at other people's work. There is a hobby shop in another town nearby. I need to get up there and see what they carry. I don't know if I want to try my hand at tanks or soldiers first. Please keep sharing your pictures. Yours look great.

Awesome job! If you get into it more, you should look into airbrushing. I can already see a little airbrush to add fatigue to your soldiers and transports. It takes practice and time, but its all worth it in the end.
