it has been a while since I posted some music....so here are two good ones by The Creepshow, there's something about this music that I can listen to it nomatter what mood I'm in....

but it just so happens that I'm not in a very good mood at all. Basically, my parents have decided that it's time to put down their 16 year old Balanese cat. He's had a good run, with 3 scares where we didn't think he would make it the night only to make a full recovery and be fine for a year or two....but we don't think he can make it much longer.

This cat is alot more than just a cat....we got Radar (yes, I named him) because my mom was diagnosed with cancer, and the cat was there to comfort her through the hard times...and he did his job very well, and my mom made a full recovery. Shortly after her clean bill of health, the dog that I grew up with, (a yellow lab named Jazz) had to be put down due to numerous medical problems. this was very hard on me and Radar was there. he spent several months sleeping in my bed, staying with me, and basically taking Jazz's place at my side....now I've long since moved out of my parents house but when we go to visit Radar was almost always waiting at the door to greet us, following us around and meowing constantly unless we were petting him....so, he's had a very good long life...but thinking about his passing is bringing up a lot of memories that are taking their toll on me. But I'm not the only one having trouble with this, my wife has also had a good relationship with Radar, when we were dating, she was the first person that Radar approved of. with in 2 min, of her coming into that house for the first time, Radar was laying on her lap...every other girlfriend I ever had (well, all 3 of the other girlfrineds) would have Radar running to hide under a bed.

now if you'll excuse me, I don't think I can talk about this anymore and still get any work done today.

I understand and it is difficult. Time will help. I still see "shadows" of my favorite calico. It is comforting, they never really leave us.

= ( What Devon said is so true. I just came across some kitty (she had really long hair and lots of it) fur in my shoe. I just stood there thinking of all the fun and crazy times we had. Pets become family, and... well...you know the rest.

It sucks so bad to have to put a family pet down. I still tear up when I think about having to put my cat down last April. I still miss my Muffin :(

I was just informed that Radar was put to sleep shortly after noon Eastern time.
