Proud of myself

I tried something new today….so, let me start at the beginning.

I’ve always been a loner, friends were people who hung around because they wanted something from you. So I wandered the wastes of the city alone. After I met my wife, I still wandered, but it was always just the two of us.

We avoided the unwashed masses and took the difficult paths to avoid running in to one of the leaches who fight to attach themselves to people like us.
But today was different, it was cold, rainy, and windy. The difficult path took on an almost treacherous appearance, and I was all alone, not even my wife to walk by my side…so, I altered my course.

I waited, paining myself over what I was going to encounter. Creatures of pestilence, famine, and death barking at every corner, but I was set to brave what ever the underworld could throw at me. As the gates opened, I entered and took a position in the center, among the unwashed masses, avoiding puddles of unknown goo. And held on for dear life, and 5 min later I was victorious, leaving behind the near empty shell that threatened to steal my breath with its vile odor.…..and yet I did not recognize the terrain, almost like it took me to a place I’ve never been in the short time I was there…..

Yes, today I rode the shuttle from the parking lot to the office(and got off at the wrong stop)…it actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, the people just looked at the floor and aside from this ugly old woman wearing some kind of fake fur hat who kept sneezing on my back without covering her mouth, and the grab handle being really sticky, it was relatively clean.
On a related note, I am now out of bleach wipes and hand sanitizer.

Last weekend, I tried but failed to make it to the Gun Show….my lazy streak won out and we just crashed on the couch for our entire 4 day weekend.

As of Tuesday, my wife and I have been married for a grand total of 3 years, and have been together for just over 8 years.

Brutal Legend is AWESOME!!! The Music is fantastic, the story is unique and entertaining, and Jack Black makes it all come together. Gameplay sometimes feels a bit loose but it’s not enough to lower my opinion of this worth successor to Psychonauts. ignore the reviews, you have to atleast rent this title.
