Shared on Mon, 09/28/2009 - 10:03First off, I love cloudy weather, the less sun I see the happier I am….and it’s really dark out. Second, I refilled my snack drawer here at the office, so with tons of chocolate, who wouldn’t be happy…..and finally, the waste of flesh in the cubicle next to me, is no longer next to me….they traded him to another section in exchange for a non-working fax machine…I think it was a better trade than we could have possibly hoped for….and now I don’t have to listen to his radio blasting all of us with 20 year old country music. Not that there’s anything wrong with country music….but when it’s the same 4 songs played on a loop….it gets REALLY annoying.
In other news, my parents have taken in yet another Polish exchange student. This guy is pretty cool, he was in the Civil Defense Corp in Poland and he’s a gamer(well, a Wii Gamer but we won't hold that against him), so we lent him our Wii while he’s here.
This weekend was pretty awesome though, the wife and I played a TON of ODST, and ran through the Vet levels on COD4 in an attempt to satisfy our desires for MW2….it didn’t work, it only made us want MW2 even more. And we got in a lot of shooting, we’re starting to notice the limitations of our Taurus PT24/7 Pro. And that limitation is 15 yards….anything over 15 yards and our accuracy suffers….at 20 yards we are both shooting at claybirds with a 15% accuracy, at 15 yards, we are shooting at a 95% accuracy….maybe I should have waited for one with a 5” barrel instead of the 4”….but after 125 rounds fired, the gun has no misfires or any operational issues.
So far, it’s a good solid gun and I think part of our problem is that we are shooting from a standing position on a down hill slope, and using the stock sights….I may end up getting a laser for it so we can really get a good gage of its accuracy at higher ranges.
