an insane update

Since I have been unable to post a blog for a while, here’s an update….

 
1.  I now understand why some animals eat their children, (or their cousin’s children), at our Memorial Day Picnic, my cousin’s 14 year old daughter made the statemtne that once her 16 year old boyfriend of one month gets out of his ’Special School’ (aka, Juvenile Detention Facility) next month they plan to start having kids….they think they will have 3-4 by the time they are old enough to get married if he even wants to get married….ummm…..HUH?!?!?!? yes, that’s her plan….now I know you’re thinking, ‘but I’m sure her mom will put a stop to that’ ….mom’s reaction to this announcement was, “what can I do, she’s made up her mind, and who am I to stop her?”…..um, you’re her FRIGGIN MOTHER!!!!......ug…seriously, this scares the crap out of me, not just the fact that she’s planning this, but that these people are breeding!!!
and her 2 younger sisteres are estatic about the news, because this means they can throw out their dolls and play with a real baby!!…. Its like the movie Idiocracy is coming true!!!
 
2. Our vacation plans are now set, since our plan to go to the LAN fell through, we have now secured a beach front condo on Kure Beach just outside of Wilmington, NC.  So if there is anyone in that area who won’t be going to the LAN, shoot me a message, we could try to set up a micro LAN for a day, get a beer or twenty, or just get in a bit of fishing….or all three….
 
3. One week away form Red Faction Guerilla, I am really excited about this game….please don’t tell me I’ll be the only one on multiplayer, I can’t stand playing with the Timmys…..

yeah, I had a few running through my mind too, but I'm not sure anyone else would get them.... my fav was always the, girl from Perry co. Meets the perfect guy, ex military, great job, loves kids, loyal to a 'T', they get engaged and go to meet her father. upon hearing their story and asking for their blessing, dad stands up and screams, "no way, no how, if you go marrying this guy instead, it'll break your brother's heart!"

I can say, had I had this type of "plan" when I was 14, my father would have personally castrated any guy that got anywhere near me. That would be on top of locking me away in my room until I was like, 30. The best deterrant for that kind of plan is sticking her in a daycare full of newborns for a month or two. And showing her a birthing video. Had I known what "episiotomy" meant before I had my first kid, I might have changed my mind, and I was 23.

yeah, that whole situation is almost enough to have us have kids just so we can prove to my family that there is such thing as a "normal" kid.....almost....but the 17,544 reasons not to have kids are still winning.
