Happy 4th…2 days early.

I’m a bit out of it today due to the combination of strong storms last night, a late night of gaming, and getting up a 4am to go to work ,with 8 dozen donuts…we pulled up to Dunkin Donuts at 5am….the door was still locked despite the sign that said they opened at 4:30am (grrr) so we go to the drive through, put in our order 8 dozen donuts, a bagel and a large coffee…he mumbles something with a heavy Indian accent that sounds like, “put up to me” so we drive to the window where he hands us 2 tiny bags and a large coffee….we said, no we want 8 DOZEN donuts….he looks at us…looks at the bag…..and says “yes” and hands us the little bag again….um…no,.... 8 dozen is 96 donuts, not 8….he looks at us….looks at the girl next to him….back to us….and just says “ok” and starts pulling out big boxes and filling them with donuts. Now I have no problem with people coming to this country to work and buying or starting a business, after all, they are working and not mooching the system(work for the American Dream, don't expect it to be given to you….but really when you start a Dunkin Donuts even if you don’t speak English fluently, you think learning the meaning of a ‘dozen’ would be pretty high on the list of key words, and these people opened this location over a year ago...

 

now on to the games....

Played some COD4 last night with the clan and a co-worker, I feel like I was off my game, I even went a whole match with a 3-20 K/D…. but the last kill I got was the last kill of the game (for the win)…and it was against the spawn camping Timmy who gave me 18 of my 20 deaths…I gave him a head shot from the far side of the map….the really strange part was that every time he killed me, my wife was right there to kill him…it was this constant circle, I spawn, he spawns right behind me and kills me, my wife immediately kills him….and repeat 18 times….

Another match we were in seemed to go a bit too well…it was a Ground War team death match, but the other team pulled back and hid in one area…it felt like we were spawn killing but they just kept retreating, one even ran right past me to get to teh building they were hiding in, I think the match ended at 820 – 110….and the only kills they got were when we ran out of ammo and went in for the knife kills or trying to find more ammo(and the one Timmy that got assigned to our team who kept charging with the shotgun.…I just need to get in more COD MM games, I need to at least get to level 55/65…I’ve been playing too long to be below that level without prestige…

 

Now I have to start preparing myself so I can survive yet another round of family gatherings and parties…
