As a Groan rises from the crowd

Now, first off let me say that my cousin….being my mom’s oldest Niece, married my Uncle, being my Dad’s youngest brother so it’s not like it was inbreeding, but its still creepy.…..though they do live dangerously close to Perry County (sorry, it’s a Pennsylvania inside joke)….well, she shows up to this party shortly after we leave, so all this is coming second hand from my mother. She has her little babies, (the oldest is 14 the youngest is just over a year old) all lined up from tallest to shorted dressed exactly the same holding hands and walking in a line….yeah, she does this all the time….especially when they are going into public.

 

Well, she comes into the house and has her “little babies” line up around her for a big announcement…..now my family knows exactly what is coming next and interrupts her screaming “no not again”, “What are you thinking”, “What the hell is wrong with you”…and numerous groans, and profanities….yup, she breaks down crying saying that it would be a “crime” not to have more babies because she makes such beautiful babies…..my dad even pulled his brother aside and blamed him for being a part of this…to which he claims he has no say over what she does…hmmm sounds like another person I talked about in an earlier blog….. anyway….she’s currently talking about having a few more because she’s deciding that 12 would be a nice round number to have….

I can’t believe I’m related to these people…..of course neither can they, if she has 12 kids that will put it at an even 40 for kids on my moms side of the family. 

 

Also, she homeschools them, will not let them go anywhere unless she is there with them….meaning that the 14 year old isn’t allowed to even visit his grandparents without mom there to watch over him….does this mean they are brats? No quite the opposite, they are like freaky pod people, they talk among themselves, everything is kept perfect to the extent of OCD….I’m pretty sure they are actually mindless drones sharing one mind and being controlled by my psychotic cousin….or some strange version of the Children of the Corn.

 

So I did a bit of digging….ok, a lot of digging(it was pretty hard to find)….and turns out there is this semi rare condition called Maternal Collecting….or the need to have babies out of an obsessive compulsive need….I’m not talking about raising babies….but to posses them like trophies on a wall….

 

Now for the kicker…..she thinks my wife an I are freaks first for not wanting to at least have 3 kids…but not wanting any kids, that’s just crazy…and it’s not just us she says that to, I have 3 other cousins who don’t want kids because honestly she’s had enough for all of us….and she can keep them.

 

Anyway….getting ready to go on a massive achievement hunt….our goals are lofty, but packing on almost 20k gamerscore with a timeline of 4 weeks will be an awesome accomplishment.

Once we are set up for it I may even start a little competition…who knows….
