Now, I'm normally not one for musicals, but this is nothing like any musical I have ever seen. The music is fantastic, the plot is involving, the cast, while many are known, has a few surprising new additions. Terrance Zudenich, in addition to being one fo the writers, turns out to be a fantastic singer as the narrator/graverobber appearing throughout many scenes with a fantastic range and style. Alexa Vega, Paul Sorvino, Anthony Head, and Paris Hilton (she sings well, and fits for the psycho daughter of Paul Sorvino) all play their parts as if they were written just for them. Many of the songs are very catchy (many of which got stuck in my head, but I'm not complaining) and one even has a guest appearance by Joan Jett (YAY JOAN JETT!!!)...(I know, I'm not exactly her type....but I can still dream)
A bit of the story....the world has been hit by a super-virus that is causing organ failures across the world....Enter GeneCo...they offer replacement organs with greeat financing plans....but if you miss a payment, expect a visit from the Repo Man(Anthony Head). The rest is presented in Operatic style, so I won't give anything away. But trust me it is absolutly worth a look.
While we only had this through Netflix(its not available for download yet, so you'll have to settlt for the old fassioned disks).. we will be buying it as soon as we can.
