does anyone read the titles anyway?

A MASSIVE thanks to Doodi and the crew, I was going nuts without the site this weekend. I may be an amateur at programming, but if there’s anything we, the 2o2p community can do to help, let us know.

I did a bit of research this weekend. As I stated 2 posts ago, I picked up a massive ammo box filled with 9mm rounds…well, after a bit of inspecting I realized there are some really funky rounds in this box, the heads are stamped with what looks like Hebrew... turns out they are a rare kind of German rounds called Sintered Iron…a few with date stamps on them of 1940-1944, and a large collection of other rounds marked with the factory stamps. Each one traceable to a factory in Germany. but each round appears to hold significant value…most around $1 each, but a few reaching the $4-5 range….and there are almost 800 of these! not a bad $80 investment...And no I don’t plan on selling them, but I don’t think I could bring myself to shoot them either….I guess I’ll save them as reserve ammo for the zombie apocalypse, and use them as conversation pieces…but I am tempted to remove the powder and primers from a few and give them to my wife to make jewelry…

In other news…ODST is set for a midnight release tonight!!! Will I be there waiting for my copy?? HELL NO!!....I did that once for Halo 3….and will never do it again. While I consider myself to be a massive geek, those people I met at Gamestop that night scare me…I thought people like that only existed in the basements of comic book shops; Arguing over who would win in a fight, Master Chief or Spiderman?...then writing up D&D style character sheets and battling the two with their 10 sided dice. There is no way in hell I could be convinced to do that again….EVER!!!

I am in such a massive mood to go shooting again. After the last time, its all I can think about, but getting permission to go is a whole other issue. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m tired of laying on the couch all the time. Even with ODST releasing, I’m not sure it will hold my interest. I’m even debating getting a hunting license again….it has been so long. And my hunting rifle has been begging to be shot again….I guess the extent of my laziness has been getting under my skin. But I’d actually have to travel to get a good place to hunt anymore…locally, there are too many people for the amount of land, and those people are far too trigger happy…I’ve been shot at too many times by people thinking that the deer are getting smart and wearing day glow orange to keep from getting shot…next year may be the time to take a road trip…maybe as far as Texas for some good hunting….possibly into Canada….anyone have any suggestions?

Get a lee loader kit for that particular cartridge... to hell with it, I'll post the instructions for safing cartridges for jewelry making on my blog, it's easier to type and edit there.

Dude, engraved shells, that’s cool. Do they fire? You did try a couple didn’t ya? On second thought, save the 9mm’s they are hard to come by. I had 1300 ordered from Cabela’s for four months until they canceled the order. I had to go to a small gun shop down the road just to get 1000 at once.

I vote Texas. Always wanted to hunt there. As far as shooting goes, I was suppose to go yesterday but the wife came up with a small family road trip at the last minute.

@Char for some reason I'm not that excited about it...I mean I'll still get it, but with MW2 on the horizon, it's hard to settle for anything less (YES I SAID LESS) @H2DaddyI've started pushing to join one of the local shooting clubs with an indoor range so I don't have the fleeting daylight getting in the way. But I agree, Texas would be a dream to hunt...
