The bizarre adjustments to my life.

I was sitting with a co-worker today and they were confused about the way I sit at my work computer….their concern was that I don’t follow proper posture rules that they tell us about all the time in random office memos . you all know how we are taught to sit at the computer….sit up straight, both feet flat on the ground, wrists up….ect….

As a gamer, I sit at my work PC like I would at a gaming PC. My chair leaning back, set fairly low to the ground, my wrists laying on the desk fingers on the Shift, ‘a’, ‘w’, and ‘d’ on the left and the directional buttons or the mouse on the right, and my feet up on a stool. But I find this comfortable and I am much more efficient this way.   But I have many more parts of my life that conform to the way I game. my hands find a comfortable relaxed position like I was holding a controller, thumb and index fingers extended slightly....the sudden desire to break open boxes sitting on the sidewalk to see if there's anything inside.  Walking through the city, I often find myself looking to the rooftops and open windows as much as I look where I’m walking (checking for snipers I guess). With an active National Guard base only a short distance from the city I constantly hear/see planes and choppers flying overhead and can’t help think that someone, somewhere got a kill streak.  Yeah, I’m weird….

In other news….
The wife and I may start working on 2 things as fundraisers for Childs Play at the LAN….I don’t know if we will be able to make it available online or if it will be something only at the LAN (it may depend on demand and supply of raw materials). We'll, disclose more info on this once we get it started….. Let me know if there are any special approvals we need to get to do this….it would be 100% of money raised donated to Child’s Play.
