Ah, chaos….

Today is the Harrisburg Tea Party….I’m thinking about going….but my job could be at risk if I was seen there…I don’t know….it starts in 5 min…I should go, I want to go, but I can’t…..but if the riot squads show up to put down those unruly professionals and other conservatives…believe me I’ll be the first one in the street calling for a new government...not a new kind of government…after all this one still works…it just needs an oil change…someone mixed up the oil that keeps things running smoothly with the greasy politicians that are normally kept in the back room.  

 

But that is not the chaos I am talking about…as my office’s move is just 2 days away, people here have started going nuts, there are even a few who have packed up their computers already…I’m not sure how they plan to do any work over the next 2 days, but that isn’t even the best of it….several people have chose now…today….2 days prior to a Billion dollar consolidation to start protesting the change…they chose now…not the period of time a year ago that was set aside for people to lodge their complaints…but now, after the contracts are signed, the ink is dry, the new office has been built and furnished….and best of all….they are threatening legal action…not to get the consolidation stopped, but for monetary gain as a result of the “stress they are planning to endure” ….so….they want money now because it may be stressful next week….I am hoping they get fired, because I know these people, and this is just the beginning, if they get anything but fired, they will start to threaten because there are not enough stalls in the bathroom, not enough elevators to get them to our new floor….not enough all expenses paid parties for the employees(actually there will be none)….and one guy who is mad and threatening to sue because nobody consulted with HIM on how this should go forward…..yeah…dude, you are the next to the lowest level in the office…just because you’ve been there in that same position for 20 years still means you get nothing!

 

So as I’m sure you can tell, I am ecstatic to be put into a new office with new cell mates (oops I mean cubicle mates) to torment….these people are already half nuts…and I like to claim credit for a portion of that….so I need new people to drive crazy, make them think I’m weird and childish for still playing videogames at my age….and yet I still wont’ fix their computers when they screw them up….I love being the only geek in the room…..ah, but I wont’ be the only one….because if you go 14 rows down and 18 cubicles up there will sit my wife….I’m pretty sure it will be a bad idea to put us in the same building together, they are just compounding it by putting us on the same floor, in the same room…..but I wont’ mind….so long as she doesn’t start pulling rank on me….
