I always get a little depressed at the end of a good con, but I should snap out of it soon, maybe I'll buy a game tonight to cheer me up (more on that below). My pick for con guy of the year goes to Marc Singer (of Beastmaster fame). Sure, he's not a huge star, but the guy is just super nice and seems like he's happy to be at the con meeting people. He's good people.
Every year, I tell myself that I'm going to make it into the Filking room, every year, I never make it. I watched a lot of the robot battles. Something occurred to me while sitting there, are these really robots, or are they merely armored RC cars? Thinking that is fine, however, don't say this to an engineer type. An attempt was made to correct me, but I still don't see it. I'm not taking anything away from the robot battles, hell, if I had the engineering skill and could fab stuff, I'd be all over it, but to me, while these are machines, I don't think they're robots.
Started playing Rise of the Argonauts on the 360 last night. I've heard that it's a decent game, hampered by many technical problems. Seems to be an apt description thus far. I actually fell asleep playing it last night, but I'm not holding that against the game just yet.
There's some new release games up in this mf'in' plane! I have interest in all of the following:
PS Move - I think Amazon's doing the release date delivery. I've ordered the stuff, but not a game - any thoughts? ***EDIT - my bad, I misread the delivery date on the Move stuff, I'm safe for 10 more days***
Ruse - Think I'll go for it on 360, despite every fiber of my being saying PC.
Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions - I still haven't played the last one, web or something or other, but I'm fairly psyched for this one.
Mass Effect 2 - Shadow Broker DLC - yes please!
Dragon Age Origins : Witch Hunt DLC - yes please!
Stupid Jason would buy all this stuff today, and invariably, by the time the shrink wrap comes off of Spidey, it will be on sale for $20 somewhere. So, I think I'm going to go with the DLC today, and wait for a $40 price point on Ruse and a $30 price point on Spidey. If I have an especially shitty day, I'll pick up Ruse. A truly shitty day, and I'll get Ruse and a Move game. A "throw myself through a stained glass window" day, and I'll just be Stupid Jason.
