A little bored on a Friday...

I’ve never done a blog before, so for my first entry I’m just going to talk about random stuff. I went with the fishing theme because fishing is my favorite thing in the world to do. My wife is equally passionate about fishing, which works out well for me. Last summer, I hooked a 20lb cat on 6lb test. I was afraid the line was going to snap before I got it to the bank, but my wife went into the water, grabbed the thing, and carried it out of the water! The last few years I haven’t had a chance to fish a lot because I went back to school. Having a job and going to school full time didn’t leave me with much free time. I used to be in the electronics/engineering field, but I hated it. I first got into electronics in ’92 when I joined the Air Force. The job was okay while in the Air Force, but having that career as a civilian was a different story. I went back to school in 2004 and just recently graduated with a degree in Marketing. I officially switched career fields a little over a month ago and I couldn’t be happier. In the fall, I plan to go back for my Master’s degree, but for now I’m going to enjoy the summer.

 

All of my favorite professional sports teams hail from Chicago (except for the White Sox…I’m a Cubs fan). In college sports I’m mostly just into basketball and I’m a diehard Hoosier fan. I also like horse racing quite a bit and I occasionally watch UFC. My favorite movies of all time are the original “Star Wars” trilogy. Others I’ll watch over and over are the Indiana Jones movies, “Jaws,” “The Last Starfighter,” and “Serenity.” On TV I like “Heroes,” and “Lost.” My guilty pleasure is “The Young and the Restless.” However, I think “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” is probably the best show I’ve ever watched (pretty much anything by Joss Whedon is going to be good). All right, I think I’ve rambled long enough and need to get back to work.
