It was dark, I remember the sun set. All of my life and that is the only sunset I remember. We were experienced, knew what we were doing and have been fighting together for a long time. But this battle felt different. We were trying to hold a courtyard from a bunch of green troops, barely weaned from their mother’s tit. They were anxious, we could hear the chatter from their side, they were determine to take us all out, no exceptions, no prisoners. It was us or them.

I’m realizing that the entire concept of a mouse does not match up to my working style. I often have numerous necessary stacks of paper around me all day as I work and there just seems to be no room for me to move without knocking something over….so, I’ve started working on an idea for an interface with my computer that would be much better for me to get my work done….the problem….I am getting carried away…

well, the meeting was interesting...I did get some good, but cryptic info out of it...small win

I did not get a promotion, but I did not get demoted either....so that's a wash.

I didn't get the supervisor I expected, but my new manager is an old friend of mine...BIG WIN.

Today I learn my fate. At 11:00 my section will be going to a meeting with the highest levels of the organization. To learn where/if we will fit into the reorganization and combining of 6 offices. The I would put the chances at 30% I get demoted, 30% I stay where I am, 35% I get promoted, and 5% I get laid off…why the greater chance I get promoted….lets just say there are a few factors working in my favor…
