Red Ring of Death No More

So I am finally back up and running. After over a month.

The repair place was literally a two minute drive from my house and it took them over a month to get it back to me. Brutal. Anyways, I suppose it is nice that they repair it for free and send a free month of xbox live, but come on... my xbox was down for 30+days, with two live accounts (my wife and me), i just got screwed. Especially since the 360 was like 18 months old. Whatever ... preaching to a bunch of people who have gone through the same shit.

Red Ring of Death - Wednesday Night Disappointment

What else is good to blog about except losing your xbox 360 for a couple of weeks to the red ring of death.

Watched my PVRd Fringe - great show - and then Lost and turned on Halo for a couple of hours of gaming. As soon as a I got matched up for my traditional warm up SWAT game, my headphones screamed at me, the screen froze with vertical distortion. Oh-oh. On-Off-On-Off-On---RED FLASHING LIGHTS. SHIT.

I miss my gaming - Part Deux

So the story goes the Tritton AXPros arrive home before I do, and guess what happens... Wifey hooks em up and gets on Halo to test them out to make sure they work! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Signed,

Suffering and Jealous

P.S. Solitaire, Minesweeper and BrickBreaker arent' appropriate fill ins for XBOX/PS3... just in case you didn't know!

I HATE CAR LEASES

So I am not sure if I dogged a bullet or got myself into another one, but with the "downturn" in the economy, my wife and I decided to see if we could trade in our lease and get a newer "Family Mover"...

Our old lease - I thought had a km allowance of 24,000 kms/yr (about 15,000 miles).... anything over cost $0.15/km... turns out the allowance was 20,400, which meant that our "rationing" was a major issue and we were already over our lease allowance with 7-months to go. Long story short, come the end of the lease, I was looking at an approximately $4000 bill... F&*$(.
