Here's my take as a geeky type guy. I think nerd girls can be hot. On the link in question, it just looked to me like some normal looking women like I see on the way into work, having some fun in costume.\r \r As I go to cons quite a bit, I see all manner of females in costume. From overtly sexually suggestive, to understated sensuality to pure fandom. The more the merrier.\r \r I can't speak for LAN, but in a con setting, if you want to dress up, dress up. About all I could add is choose something you would be comfortable with if it shows up in pictures online or if people ask to have their picture taken with you. Also, if you're going with a significant other, make sure they're comfortable with it as well. \r \r Sure, not all these women are going to have the perfect body, or fake boobs that seem to cry out \"hug me!\", and affect us guys like a full moon on the tides, but if they're comfortable with themselves and enjoy it, then go for it. \r \r So in the end, to sum up my take of the nerdy girl thing - \"eh, good for them, there's some lookers in that bunch\".\r \r PS - had to look up a helix piercing.
